These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Revu ("Revu," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Revu. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18. Each individual may maintain only one account. If you are using Revu on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you become aware of unauthorized access. We may require identity verification, phone verification, or other authentication at any time.
You own your content. You retain all ownership rights in reviews, photographs, ratings, and other materials you submit ("User Content"). Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to Revu.
License to Revu. By submitting content, you grant Revu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your content in connection with operating and promoting the platform. This license survives account termination.
Your warranties. You represent that you own or have rights to your content, that it doesn't infringe third-party rights, and that it complies with these Terms and applicable law.
You may not submit content or engage in conduct that involves:
Honest reviews only. All reviews must be truthful and based on genuine personal experiences. You must have actually visited the business you are reviewing.
Payment is never conditioned on sentiment. A detailed 2-star review earns the same as a detailed 5-star review. Any attempt by a business or third party to condition payment on review sentiment violates these Terms.
Visit verification. We use QR codes, in-app photos, and other methods to verify visits. Attempting to circumvent verification is strictly prohibited.
Quality standards. Payout-eligible reviews must meet minimum standards (character count, in-app photo, verified visit, originality). Reviews not meeting standards may still be published but won't earn rewards.
All compensated reviews display a "Verified & Rewarded" badge automatically. You may not remove or obscure this badge. If you share a Revu review on other platforms, you must independently disclose that you were compensated. While Revu facilitates compliance, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring your content complies with FTC rules.
The Revu platform, design, logos, trademarks, and all associated intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Revu. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without written consent. If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, contact us with a DMCA-compliant notice.
Revenue share. Eligible reviewers earn 55% of the revenue attributable to their content, as calculated by Revu's helpfulness scoring system.
Helpfulness scoring. Revu determines review value through a proprietary system considering verified visit status, content quality, photos, engagement, community votes, and other signals. We may modify the methodology at any time.
Flat-rate rewards. We may offer fixed-amount rewards (e.g., $5 per qualifying review) in certain programs. Availability and criteria are at Revu's discretion.
Payout schedule. Monthly. Processed within 30 calendar days after month-end.
Minimum payout. $25.00. Balances below this carry over. Balances below the minimum are forfeited on account termination unless prohibited by law.
Payment method. Stripe (or designated processor). You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment account.
Taxes. You are responsible for all taxes. We will issue Form 1099 where required.
No guaranteed earnings. Earnings depend on platform traffic, advertiser demand, helpfulness scores, and content quality.
Withholding. We may withhold, suspend, or claw back payments for fraud, abuse, or Terms violations.
Commission tiers. Tier 1 (direct referrals): 15-30% depending on status. Tier 2 (second-degree referrals): reduced rate. Maximum depth: 2 tiers. No commissions beyond the second tier.
Real transactions only. Commissions are earned only on genuine transactions. Not earned on: self-referrals, refunded/fraudulent transactions, or manipulative activity.
Attribution window. 60-day cookie. Referred users must sign up within 60 days of clicking the referral link.
Prohibited practices. No bidding on Revu trademarks, no false earnings claims, no spam, no fake accounts.
Revu may modify or terminate the program at any time. Accrued commissions above the payout threshold will be paid out.
Revu retains editorial control. Businesses may not:
Businesses may respond to reviews publicly. Responses must be professional and may not contain threats or compensation offers for review changes. "Founding Partner" status is at Revu's discretion.
By you: Contact us or use account settings at any time.
By Revu: We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations, fraud, legal requirements, or platform safety — with or without notice.
Effect: Licenses you granted survive. Accrued earnings above $25 will be paid out. Balances below $25 are forfeited unless prohibited by law.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content. Reviews represent individual opinions, not Revu's views.
Limitation: Revu's total liability shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts paid to you in the prior 12 months, or (b) $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Informal first: Contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute for at least 30 days before formal proceedings.
Binding arbitration: Unresolved disputes go to arbitration under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules. Single arbitrator. We pay AAA fees for claims under $10,000.
Class action waiver: You may only bring disputes individually, not as part of a class or representative action.
Opt-out: You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of accepting these Terms by sending written notice to us.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. For disputes not subject to arbitration, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Delaware state and federal courts.
We may modify these Terms with at least 30 days' notice for material changes. Changes to revenue share, payout thresholds, or commission rates take effect no earlier than 30 days after notice and apply only to future earnings. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

By using Revu, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
Entire agreement. These Terms plus the Privacy Policy constitute the full agreement. Severability: Invalid provisions are modified to the minimum extent necessary. No waiver: Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. Assignment: You may not assign; Revu may. Independent contractors: No employment, partnership, or agency relationship is created. Relationship to reviewers: Reviewers are independent contractors, not employees.
